Complete a Room Inspection (MOP 2.0)

Room inspections are essential for guest satisfaction, safety, and quality control. They ensure that rooms are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with regulations. By identifying and addressing issues promptly, inspections enhance guest experiences, prevent complaints, and maintain the hotel's reputation and operational efficiency.
Path: Dashboard/Home Page > Room Inspection

1. Click on "Add Room Inspect".

2. Select the Room Number that is going to be inspected.

3. The system will automatically display the name of the most recent Room Attendant who cleaned the room, as well as the name of the person currently logged into the account conducting the inspection.

4. The room inspection covers over 45 points of control, and to pass, it must have no more than three issues:
- Up to 3 issues: Rated as Excellent.
- 4 to 6 issues: Considered a Pass.
- 7 or more issues: Results in an Inspection Failure.

5. Certain issues warrant an immediate inspection failure. These "Auto Fail" conditions include the presence of guest-sensitive items or evidence of a previous guest stay in the room, such as a dirty toilet, odors, hair, mold, stained bed, or poorly cleaned areas. Additionally, poor workmanship and non-working equipment, such as malfunctioning TVs, AC units, leaks, and more, are grounds for an automatic inspection failure. These criteria ensure that rooms meet the required standards before being made available for new guests.

6. If an issue is identified during any step of the inspection, it's necessary to check the appropriate box based on whether the issue pertains to "Hskp" (Housekeeping) or "Maint" (Maintenance). This helps in categorizing and addressing the issue correctly for subsequent action and resolution.

7. When a maintenance box is checked during the inspection, the system will automatically prompt the addition of a work order. The user conducting the inspection can then select the priority and indicate the level of importance before clicking "Submit." Subsequently, the maintenance task will need to be assigned by a Site Admin for proper resolution and follow-up.

8. Once the inspection is completed, click "Submit".

9. Regardless of the inspection result, including an "Excellent" rating, the option will prompt the creation of a new task to re-clean the room. This step ensures that the room is consistently maintained at a high standard and that any issues, no matter how minor, are addressed promptly to meet guest expectations.

10. Any housekeeping issues that were identified and checked during the inspection will be displayed in the "Notes" field. This provides a clear record of the specific concerns that need attention and serves as a reference for addressing and resolving them during the subsequent cleaning or maintenance tasks.
Create the task, and click "Save".
