If a guest requests a departure time (i.e. late checkout) other than the hotel's standard checkout time loaded in MOP, you can flag that requested
time by changing the Checkout Time status.
Value of Flagging a Change in CheckOut Time
The new time will be reflected on the All Task screen as well as the other logged in user's screen with tasks associated with that room, such as
the Room Attendant that is assigned to clean the room or for the Maintenance personnel that has a pending maintenance ticket.
This will avoid disturbing the guest before they are ready to vacate the room.
How to Access the Option to Change the CheckOut Time
There are several access points to flag the room status that has changed from the standard checkout time. They are indicated in the screenshot
example below. The platform allows you to update an existing task or to flag the room as having a change in checkout time when a new task is created.
If a new task is created (such as a maintenance work order) the late checkout must be indicated at the time of creating the task.
Once the icon is selected and, if applicable based upon the selected icon, the room number is selected, the platform will roll to the task screen.
Select Checkout Time using the drop-down window. In the example below, room 104 has a checkout time of 2:00 pm and is shown as such on the
Room Attendant's device.
