Getting Started with MOP

The steps listed below are only suggestions for you to follow.
To assist you in preparing to use MOP on your first day, we've provided some basic steps to help you and your team have a more successful launch. The steps are broken into three categories: Pre-Launch, Launch Day, and Post-Launch.

Pre - Launch

- Purchase mobile devices and charge them.
- Create an account for "EmpowerU - VM University" to access MOP Courses.
- Review Knowledge Base materials such as setting up devices on Chrome and Adding Staff.
- Log into your Site from your desktop.
- If the hotel is operating in a non-integrated environment (no PMS interface), Add Staff into MOP.
- Test each User Login from each mobile device. Set a bookmark at User Login.

Launch Day

- Ensure devices are fully charged.
- Assign Rooms, either through your integrated PMS or manually.
- Sign-out devices and station keys.
- Review the basic function of the device, how to log in, and user passwords.
- ​Monitor the All Task screen to check for usage. Status changes/going green? (started, finished, verified).
- Color Coding changes evident? Statuses are going green? (completed).



Post - Launch

- All tasks should be in a Green Status (completed) at the end of the day.
- Gather and sign in devices/keys.
- Debrief with each user.
- Put the devices back in charge and secure.
