This article refers to the Cloud version. The Desktop version is not available at this time but note; the MOP can operate without integration with a Property Management System. Visual Matrix Cloud is integrated with MOP. That means the two platforms interface with each other regarding room assignments and room status updates. If a room is checked out of the PMS, the status updates accordingly in the MOP. If a room status in the MOP changes from dirty to clean, the status updates accordingly in the PMS. The details of the processes are as follows:
- the rooms are assigned to each housekeeper in Visual Matrix
- the assignments are added to MOP
- the housekeepers will use handheld devices (cell phones or tablets) to access their assignments for the day
Assign Rooms in the Visual Matrix Property Management System
Path: Housekeeping > Room Assignments
Assign rooms as normal in the PMS. Select the name of a Room Attendant/Housekeeper, then select available Rooms to be cleaned.
Import Rooms into MOP
1. Select: Add Tasks Icon
2. Select: Add Visual Matrix Tasks
3. Status Message: If the import is error-free, the message will read, XX( number of tasks) Visual Matrix Task(s) Added/Modified
Error Messages
For any room not assigned in the importing process, there will be a message in red font Error in Rooms Status Sync. The following Rooms Are Not Assigned
In the screenshot below, the example portrays Stayover rooms not assigned at the preference of the Hotel's Management
Errors should be researched and resolved, Rooms can be manually assigned in MOP. (see link above)
Verify Import Status
Select: RA Monitor to view the rooms that were assigned in the VM PMS and then imported into MOP.
At login into the MOP, each Room Attendant/Housekeeper will see their assignments for the day.
