Room Assignments - Integrated with SynXis
Synxis is integrated with MOP. That means the two platforms interface with each other regarding room assignments and room status updates. If a room is checked out of the PMS, the status updates accordingly in the MOP. If a room status in the MOP changes from dirty to clean, the status updates accordingly in the PMS. The details of the processes are as follows:
- the rooms are assigned to each housekeeper in Synxis
- the assignments are imported into MOP
- the housekeepers will use handheld devices (cell phones or tablets) to access their assignments for the day
Assign and Import Rooms into MOP
1. Assign rooms in Synxis
2. Select the Add Tasks icon in MOP
3. Select Add Synxis Tasks to import the rooms from the PMS into MOP
4. Error-free message will display for a successful import of the rooms from Synxis to MOP
5. Error - message for discrepancies after importing the rooms. Any room(s) not assigned in the importing process will be indicated with some type of error message Error in Rooms Status Sync. The following Rooms Are Not Assigned
Errors should be researched and resolved, Rooms that reflect as an error can be manually assigned in MOP.
Room Assignments Manually
If the property management system is down, and as long as the Internet is functioning, MOP keeps working. Select the Enter Tasks Manually box. All room status updates must be done manually on both platforms. Once the PMS is back up, the two platforms will sync the statuses. See QUICKLINKS
Verify Imported Room Status
Select: RA Monitor to view the rooms that were assigned in Synxis and then imported into MOP.
At login into the MOP, each Room Attendant will see their assignments for the day.
